Based on 30 years of clinical studies, Hyperthermia has been proven to improve the response rate for some cancers, by 44% or more, than the average radiation therapy without any additional side effects. This treatment is used in combination with either radiation or chemotherapy on tumors. Hyperthermia works by increasing the temperature of the tumor from approximately 40o to 43o C or 104o to 109o F for approximately 45 minutes per session. The number of sessions for each patient is customized to each patient’s individual needs and their radiation or chemotherapy schedule.
Some types of cancer and treatable sites for Hyperthermia include:
- Head and Neck
- Rectal Cancer
- Prostrate Cancer
- Skin Cancer
- Gynecological Cancer
